Ian Usher
, a broken-hearted man from Perth, Australia, has decided to auction off his entire life in one lot and attempt to start a new one. Starting on June 22nd Usher’s life will be for sale on eBay for $420,000.

The price includes his 3-bedroom home in Perth, his automobile, motorbike, a try out for his job, his clothing and his friends. His friends have even offered to befriend the replacement. Usher was jilted by his girlfriend of 12 years who left him for another, and apparently decided that it was time to move on and literally get a new life.

Usher has a Website, www.alife4sale.com, that he started in March and claims that he has been swamped by emails from readers all over the world wanting to know how to change their own lives, while also supporting his move to make the change. A poll on his Website has collected 70,000 votes on his idea, with about 1/3 agreeing that it is a great idea, 1/3 indicating that it is an interesting idea and the remainder indicating that the idea is ridiculous.

Usher said he hopes the auction will meet his “reserve” price, which he claims is reasonable, by the auction’s end on June 29th at noon. "As long as the auction is a success, I will leave Perth with my passport and wallet and I'm off," he said. He was careful not to reveal his plans, just in case he is unable to afford them.
