No confirmed launch schedule

According to a news post on Digitimes, several AMD serverboard partners are claimed to have confirmed that Barcelona has been delayed from its June launch to sometime into August or September.

This is more bad news for AMD, as its allready having a hard time getting its graphics chips out and now it seems like it's new native quad core design has been hit by a snag as well.

It seems like the current CPU samples that AMD has sent out to its partners still have a few bugs that needs to be ironed out before fullscale manufacturing can start and this might be the reason for the delay.

How this will affect AMD is anyones guess, but it seems like its server partners aren't too happy at all about this delay. These things happen, but they couldn't happen at a worse time for AMD as it seems like Intel is on track with its new Xeon processors.
