Eizo has launched a new addition to its FlexScan line of monitors. This 24-inch LCD is specially targeted at gamers. The new LCD has a native resolution of 1920x1200 (WUXGA) with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 450Cd/m2 of brightness.

It comes with dual HDMI, DVI-D, HDCP, D4-Video, S-Video, D-SUB and a component video port, and it can do 1080p/24 true cinema mode, which will get that little extra out of those Blu-Ray movies.

The only thing that could be confusing is the 16ms response time, but again Eizo is talking about BWB (black white black) rather than GTG (grey to grey) response time, which stands at 6ms. Eizo "should" start to use "marketing" GTG response time, as this is just too "honest," and so out of the "muddy the waters" trend.

Eizo's new FlexScan HD2452W is available in Japan and is currently available for about €800. If it will become available in the U.S. or Europe and if so, then when, is still unknown.
