No-brainer way to shoot and upload YouTube video

With
the popularity of YouTube, it likely had to happen. JVC has introduced the first one-touch camcorder that is targeted at the YouTube generation. With the launch of the new GZ-MS100, JVC claims that it is now easier than ever to shoot and upload video to YouTube.

The GZ-MS100 uses CyberLink software installed on a Windows PC to receive the video captured in 10-minute segments on the SD card. The GZ-MS100 connects to the PC using USB, of course, and with the touch of the upload button video can be transferred from the GZ-MS100 direct to YouTube.

GZ-MS100 is able to go for 2 hours and 5 minutes per charge, according to JVC, and additional batteries are available to extend the battery run time to between 4 to 6 hours, depending on the battery size.

The GZ-MS100 is equipped with a Konica Minolta Lens that does up to a 35x optical zoom using JVC’s Gigabird Engine; and offers six digital noise reduction systems to increase video quality with the camcorder. GZ-MS100 supports a variety of camera shooting modes to handle a variety of situations.

JVC will ship the GZ-MS100 in June with a suggested retail price of US$349. While we are convinced that YouTube isn’t going any place soon, we are not so sure that a camcorder with a maximum video limit of ten minutes is a good investment. If you strictly are shooting video for YouTube, then maybe this camcorder is for you, but we hate restrictions; and a limit of 10 minutes per clip just seems like a limit that might get in your way down the road.
