Faster CPU, twice the RAM, longer battery life

In addition to the all new Kindle e-reader and, of course, the new Kindle Fire HD models, Amazon has decided to make things even worse for its competition and refresh its original Kindle Fire giving it a new faster CPU, twice the amount of RAM and longer battery life, all with at an impressive US $159 price tag.

Unfortunately, Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos did not go into specifics of the new Amazon Kindle Fire other than it should have 40 percent faster performance and longer battery life. Despite the new and faster CPU, twice more RAM memory (1GB) and longer battery life, the new Kindle Fire will actually have a lower price tag, a nice way to celebrate the 22 percent of tablet sales in the U.S. for Kindle Fire.

The orders are kicking off today and it should ship on September 14th for US $159.
