Samsung announces new Series 7 and Series 5 AIOs

Jumping the gun ahead of IFA 2012 show, Samsung has announced its latest Series 7 and Series 5 All-in-One systems that are designed to run on upcoming Windows 8 OS and feature 1080p capacitive 10-point multi-touch screens and gesture recognition.

The new Series 7 AIO will be available in 27- and 23-inch versions. Both feature a 1920x1080 resolution capacitive type screen with 10-point multi-touch and feature Windows 8 OS. The 27-inch version will feature Intel's Core i7-3770T CPU and AMD's Radeon HD 7850M GPU, up to 8GB of DDR3 1600 memory, 1TB HDD, optical DVD writer, integrated 14W speaker, 1.3MP HD camera with hand gesture recognition, Gigabit LAN, 802.11bgn WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0HS bunch of USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, card reader, HDMI in/out, wireless keyboard/mouse and remote control.

The smaller 23.6-inch Series 7 AIO feature Core i5-3470T CPU, 6GB of DDR3-1600 memory (with support for up to 8GB of memory) and Intel's HD graphics 4000. The rest of the specs are exactly the same as the one on the 27-inch model.

The last but not the least is the cheaper Series 5 21.5-inch AIO. Featuring 21.5-inch 1920x1080 resolution 10-point multi-touch screen, Intel's Core i3-3220T CPU, Intel HD Graphics 4000, 4GB of DDR3-1600 memory (with up to 8GB of memory) and a 500GB HDD. The rest of the specs are also in line with those seen on the Series 7 AIOs including wireless keyboard/mouse, remote control and 1.3MP HD cam with hand gesture control.

The new Series 7 and Series 5 AIOs should start to show up in retail/e-tail pretty soon with a price tag set at US $749 for the Series 5 21.5-inch model, US $1099 for the 23.6-inch Series 7 AIO and US $1699 for the top 27-inch Series 7 one.
