Nintendo confirms E3 press conference

by on02 May 2012

Chooses to go last after Microsoft & Sony

Nintendo has confirmed that they will be having their E3 Press Conference at 9 A.M. PST on June 5th, which is the day after both Microsoft and Sony will deliver their Press Conferences on June 4th.

The Nintendo Press Conference for E3 is a big deal for the Wii U, as the company says they will be premiering the final form of the console; but as we have told you previously, the company will not be providing any pricing or release date information at this Press Conference event. It is expected that Nintendo is planning to make these announcements at a later date, and perhaps at another event altogether.

It is also expected that Nintendo will detail more about the hardware specifics and software title support that can be anticipated in the near term for the Wii U. Beyond a number of rumors, there do seem to continue to be more questions than answers on what the final hardware configuration will look like and what titles are actually coming for the console.

A number of 3rd party developers that we have spoken with recently expressed that they currently have no plans for a Wii U version of their upcoming releases, which left us scratching our heads over what is coming for the console. We don’t have much longer to wait until we will finally get some sort of an answer to this question.
