GeForce overclocking redesigned from the ground up

On Thursday, our enthusiast friends at EVGA released a brand new version of the company's highly popular Precision software, designed from the ground up with integrated in-game performance monitoring, GPU voltage adjustments and an all-new GPU overclocking interface for nearly every EVGA GeForce graphics card on the market.

The new software suite, dubbed EVGA Precision X, was timed for release alongside Nvidia's 28nm Kepler launch (GeForce 600 Series) and now includes features such as Power Target Control (GeForce GTX 680), Frame Rate Target Control, GPU Voltage Adjustment, GPU and Memory Frequency / Clock Offset, In-Game Screenshot Hotkeys and Robust In-Game / Logitech LCD Frequency Monitoring.

In regards to overclocking 28nm Kepler-based GeForce 600 Series cards, which now utilize dynamic overclocking to automatically ramp-up clocks to specified power target thresholds, EVGA claims that most games and benchmarks should be able to run slightly above a Kepler GPU's "Turbo Boost" clockspeed without any system crashes. Of course, the results are completely arbitrary and enthusiasts willing to reach significantly tangeable results are always encouraged to use Precision X's native voltage monitoring adjustments.

EVGA has also released a complementary Precision X smartphone utility for Google Android users, which works in conjunction with on-screen overclocking adjustments and probably allows users to make real-time voltage and clockspeed modifications over a local WiFi network, similarly to MSI's AfterBurner mobile app.

EVGA Precision X 3.0.1 can be downloaded here.
