Many variations of Office affected

Microsoft announced four critical security updates as part of its security bulletins for the month of March. MS08-014, MS08-015, MS08-016, and MS08-17 all deal with Office in some way, shape or form.

The good news is that depending on your current version of Office and your patch level, you may or may not need these critical updates. All of the updates could be exploited to allow remote code execution, so it likely best if you patch them.

MS08-14 is the patch for Excel, MS08-15 is the patch for Outlook, MS08-16 deals with malformed files created with Office, and MS08-17 deals with Office Web Components. Running the latest version of the Microsoft Security Baseline Analyzer can determine which patches you need.

In addition to the four critical updates for Office, Microsoft is also releasing two non-security high priority updates.
