Gigabyte leaks AMD FX-Series lineup

by on01 September 2011

Six parts, B2 stepping
Although Bulldozer specs and designations were revealed some months ago, Gigabyte is the first vendor to officially post them on its site, revealing a few more juicy details.

The FX lineup is to consist of six parts, ranging from quad-core FX-4100 and six-core FX-6100 parts all the way to the flagship FX-8150, an eight-core part with a base clock of 3.6GHz. Judging by Gigabyte’s list, the production stepping is B2.

Gigabyte claims its GA-990FXA-UD7 board will support all FX series processor from BIOS version F4, and there is no doubt other motherboard makers already have BIOS versions capable of dealing with AMD’s new chips.
