One in five divorces caused by Facebook

Lawyers claim
Social networking site Facebook is slowly creeping into every aspect of life as a survey by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers said that one in five American divorces are directly linked to Facebook.

As many as 80 percent of divorce lawyers reported increase in social media caused cases. Facebook naturally leads the way with 66 percent; MySpace has 15 percent whereas Twitter and the rest come in at 14 percent.

Many divorces have been incited by questionable messages and photos on Facebook, with many cases including rekindling the old flames. This means that full scale invasion of privacy by people who you couldn’t wait to get rid of in real life is no longer the biggest issue.
