Apple invades HP campus

Getting bigger
Apple has bought 98 acres of land in Cupertino from HP, which is moving out of the city.

Apple has been growing like crazy lately it had already bought a 50-acre strip of land right across the street from the HP campus in 2006. HP has apparently given up on Cupertino to consolidate its operations in its headquarters in Palo Alto.

Apparently Jobs' Mob wrote a cheque for $300 million to buy the property from HP. But these two sites are together several times bigger than Apple’s current headquarters at 1 Infinite Loop, several blocks away.

An Apple spokesman said that the company owns 57 buildings in Cupertino and its campus is bursting at the seams.

“These [new] offices will give us more space for our employees as we continue to grow,” said Apple spokesman Steve Dowling. Jobs' Mob's empire has been growing lately and it was hiring even through the recession.
