Court case invaded my privacy: Facebook boss

by on01 September 2010

Oh the irony
Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg is moaning that lawsuit by a man who claims to own a huge chunk of hgis company is seeking to uncover needless details about his private life.

While many people have complained that Facebook as destroyed their privacy, Zuckerberg is furious that a civil lawsuit filed by Paul Ceglia, will find out a little too much about him. Ceglia alleged in a June 30 lawsuit that a 2003 contract with Zuckerberg entitles him to control of Facebook.

Ceglia apparently can score points on the court case if he can prove that Zuckerberg comes from New York.  Zuckerberg considers himself a California citizen. It means that he does not have to take the case to a State Court, because cases are less likely to be dismissed. But if Zuckerberg comes from California the case will have to go to a Federal Court instead.

It is unclear what details Ceglia hopes to uncover, but it is probably how long he spends in New York. Apparently Zuckerberg wants to keep this secret when Facebook gives out much more personal details.
