Prince says Internet is "completely over"

Just like MTV, it was hip but not anymore
We feared this day would come, but someone obviously had to be brave enough to break the news to the general public. The artist occasionally known as Prince has been kind enough to divulge some of his wisdom with the great unwashed, and it appears that the internet is a thing of the past.

In his infinite wisdom, Prince said how the internet is “completely over. I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won't pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can't get it.” We’re not sure whether this means that if Jobs doesn’t comply and pay up in advance, Prince will pull the plug on this heinous invention, but we’d very much like to keep our jobs and urge Mr. Apple to do whatever it takes.

Apparently, he also thinks that the fate of the internet is similar to that of MTV. He says how “At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you."

So there you have it – enjoy your Facebooks and MySpaces while they last. And on that note, we’ll hang our keyboards and mice on the wall and go pursue our careers in some of the more profitable and immortal professions. Like hairdressing or making purple pianos and the oh-so-shiny, sparkly clothes.
