Will cost below US $1,000
The team behind Art Lebedev Studio has finally posted a rendering of its upcoming Optimus Popularis keyboard, a new version of a keyboard that replaces standard keys with display equipped ones.

According to the info, the Popularis is still on track to be launched sometimes in late 2010/early 2011, while pre-orders will be taken a bit earlier. The keyboard uses better keys, or to be precise, better and larger displays with more room between the actual keys, and features a display strip located between the number keys and F-keys.

The new Optimus Popularis loosk quite good, at least judging from this first rendering, and although the previously released Optimus Maximus was pretty good, it was simply way to expensive. Art Lebedev Studio has promised that this one is still targeted for a under US $1,000 price tag and hopefully it won't simply be US $999, but rather something a bit more cheaper.

Here is the render and you can check out more info here.
