Power processors guess passwords

The
processors on the new PS3 are proving a gift for hackers trying to guess passwords.

According to New Zealand-based security researcher, Nick Breese, the gaming console can crack passwords at speeds 100 times faster than an Intel chip. He said that with using a PS3 it was possible to crack an eight-character 'strong' password in a couple of days, whereas before it would take weeks.

Of course, he does think that you need about a thousand PlayStations to do the job properly.
