Must keep talking

Cisco says that it will add more sophisticated voice-recognition technology to its products.

Barry O'Sullivan, head of Cisco's Voice Technology Group, told Reuters improved voice technology could be added to the company's "unified communications" products. Putting a search for stored conference calls, and intelligent tagging of voice could be a starting point, O'Sullivan said.

He said that there was a $30 billion market opportunity out there and all companies with any sense were circling around it with different strengths wanting a piece of the pie.
