Toshiba goes DX10 SLI in laptops

Toshiba is definitely trying to claim the high end throne with its X200 series. Its latest model, the X205, targets gamers with SLI graphics.

The SLI option is available in two new models, the X205-SLI1 and X205-SLI3. Both of them comes with two Geforce 8600M GT in SLI, combined with 512MB of dedicated video RAM.

You'll also find HD DVD drives on both models. The SLI1 model features a 2.0GHz T7250 Core 2 Duo processor, while the SLI3 has a slight advantage with 2.2GHz T7500. Both models has a 17in widescreen display. The SLI3's display can do 1,680x1,050 resolution while the SLI1 is slightly dissapointing at 1,440x900.

Both models are available over at toshibadirect.com. If you really want to do some DirectX 10 gaming on a laptop, then the SLI1 version is yours for $2,000, while the SLI3 model will set you back $2,400.
