Two quad-cores get cheaper on October 19th Print E-mail

Q8200 and Q6600


Intel plans to cut the price of two rather popular quad-core products. This will happen on October 19th and Core 2 Quad Q8200 with 2.33GHz clock, 4MB cache and FSB 1333 will drop from current $224 to $203.


Core 2 Quad 6600, the good old 65nm quad-core, still the most popular and widespread one is going to drop from current $193 to $183. Core 2 Quad 6600 works at 2.4GHz has 8MB cache and works with FSB1066.

At this date Intel will also cut some Core 2 prices and Pentium dual-core.
