Cheap quad-core

Intel works on a new Quad core called Core 2 Quad Q8200 and this 2.33GHz CPU is planned for 31st of August introduction.

We are talking about a CPU with FSB 1333 and 4MB of cache memory and according to Intel’s plan, this CPU should be selling at a wholesale price of $224. This price is actually only valid if you buy thousand(s) of these CPUs.

Q8200 will be the cheapest 45nm quad-core to date and Q9300 with its 2.5GHz clock and Q9400 with 2.66GHz clock will remain selling at $266.

So if you are still interested, for 45nm Q8200 you will have to wait for at least one more month.
