PowerColor has the first one

Our colleagues from PCGamesHardware.de have managed to score the first picture of a non-reference HD 4870 card coming from PowerColor.

The new PowerColor PCS version of the HD 4870 will come with 1GB of GDDR5 memory and will feature custom made cooling, courtesy of Zerotherm. According to the post over at PCGH and our own sources as well, this cooling should allow the card to run up to 20° Celsius cooler than a card using the reference cooling solution.

The final clock speeds are unfortunately unknown at press time, but we suspect that the GPU clock could end up at somewhere around 800MHz. According to our sources, the new HD 4870 card should be available sometime at the beginning of August.

You can check out a bigger picture at PCGamesHardware.de or if you prefer the English version, it can be found here.
