Not to launch soon

We've checked with some people who are supposed to have mobile and desktop versions of machines based on Atom and we've learned that so far there won't be any dual-cores launching anytime soon.

If you want either desktop or mobile atom, you would have to settle for single-core, and 1.6GHz seems to be the only version. Some partners will be able to de-clock it especially on a mobile side, but desktop guys won't get dual-cores that soon.

We've heard that dual-core Atom with at least 8W dissipation is planned, but it doesn’t look that you will see one at least until Q4 2008.
