New colorful BIOS coming

MSI has officially announced its first EFI BIOS based motherboard, branded MSI EFINITY. This motherboard will use EFI, or Extensible Firmware Interface, which should slowly start to replace current BIOS. The new EFI BIOS supports multiple languages, colorful interfaces and has mouse support. According to MSI's press release this will also bring great OC potential.

Besides the mentioned "pretty color" interface, EFI BIOS also supports LAN, pre-OS applications like instant messenger, games, browser, live update, media player and much more. According to the press release Microsoft will add the EFI support to the x64 versions of Windows Vista with Service Pack 1.

All of this sounds great, and we are all tired of that same blue screen BIOS, and EFI sounds refreshing.
