Roadmap: Only quad this year

Intel is working on a brand new 45nm marchitecture codenamed Nehalem and we can confirm that a first eight core with sixteen threads will come in 2009.

The quad core is scheduled for Q4 2008 and we saw one running the four threads back in September 2007 at IDF San Francisco.

In the roadmap seen by Fudzilla there is no sign of eight cores / sixteen threads in Q1 2009 and especially not in Q4 2008, which means that you will have to wait a bit more before you see this monster.

Imagine two of these in Skulltrail -- they would have thirty two threads and sixteen cores, Yeah, we can never get enough.
