New notebook CPU

Intel new P series Core 2 Duo 45nm, Penryn based CPU is coming to life in Q3 2009. People are talking about it, but it should not officially show its face by late Q2 2009.

The P9700 works at 2.8GHz and it has FSB1066, 6MB cache and a 28W TDP. The CPU is part of Montevina platform and it uses PGA socket P and 35x35mm. These are the last breeze to freshen up Montevina before Callpella platform come to town.

This CPU will replace P9600 that works at 2.66GHz and shares the same specs and gives you more power for roughly the same money.
