CeBIT 2009: The new Summit

Beside its quite impressive Z Drive, OCZ has also showcased its newest Summit series SSD. The new SSD Summit series drive will be available in 30, 60, 120 and 250GB capacities and will be a representative of the new premium level, which means that it will be the fastest OCZ SSD.

The specs for the new Summit series includes up to 128MB of data cache, and read and write speeds of up to 230MB/s and 210MB/s, respectively. It has a MTBF of 1,500,000 hours and has a power consumption of 0.5W in standby and 2W during read/write operation.

The new drive should be available soon, and we expect it to be a bit more expensive than the performance level Vertex SSDs.
