Not the other way around

In midst of rumors giving way to claims that Apple will take Palm to court over touch-screen patents, two related companies sued Apple over screen rendering technology found in iPhone and iPod Touch.

Glasgow based companies, Picsel Technologies and Picsel Research, filed a patent-infringement lawsuit over Picsel’s technology that accelerates the process of updating a device’s display.

This technology is used in zooming and panning documents, sites and images, and Apple’s devices wouldn’t have run so fluidly without it. The aforementioned companies demand compensation for devices already sold, and we need not remind you that it’s a lot. Apple declined to comment.
