Around 15 percent, depending on market and model

AMD isn't
just cutting jobs, it's also slashing prices of its latest Phenom II series quad-core CPUs.

As of today, the Phenom II X4 920, clocked at 2.80GHz, costs €182, a drop of around 10 percent compared to last week's prices. The CPU was launched at CES, and the was priced at €225 at launch, but prices quickly sank to the €200 mark soon after the launch. The Black Edition 940, clocked at 3.0GHz, is available for €212, and has shed €30 off its price.

For comparison, Intel's Q9400, clocked at 2.67GHz, costs €208, while the 3.0GHz Q9650 costs just under €300. Keep in mind, Intel is also slashing prices, and the latest AMD cuts are relatively fresh and subject to further change.
