This time from Taiwanese chip makers

Despite the lack of announcement at MacWorld earlier this month, the iPhone Nano rumours just won't go away and this time it's Digitimes reporting on possible orders for Taiwanese semiconductor foundries with regards to iPhone Nano chip orders.

Digitimes claim that TSMC and UMC are likely to get orders from Apple for parts of the components that will be going into what they call "Apple's low-cost entry-level iPhone Nano" and they're quoting a local Taiwanese newspaper called Economic Daily News as their source.

The orders are set to come in March and they're even going as far as suggesting June onwards as a possible launch date for the iPhone Nano. Although there have been a lot of suggested rumours about this device, we wouldn't hold our breath. Although you never know with Apple and they might just end up surprising us all.
