Signs 5-year deal

LG Display, the world's second largest LCD manufacturer, has inked a deal with Cupertino based tech cult Apple to supply its LCD needs over the next five years.

No details on the value of the contract have been revealed, but in a recent filing submitted to the Korea Exchange, LG said it would receive a $500 million advance from Apple later this month.

Analysts believe LG panels are already used in around 70 percent of Apple products and the new long term deal will probably increase the share, life is good.
