Drama over and unavailable movies at an end

The speculation as to why certain Sony-owned movie titles were not available for streaming using the Netflix option on Xbox 360 systems has ended. While we are not sure what all transpired, but we suspect that it somehow involved money.

Netflix made no secret about the fact that licenses to stream certain content expire all of the time, but many figured it was nothing more than Sony trying to hoard exclusives for the PS3 platform, and the best way to do this was not allow Netflix to stream Sony-owned content on the Xbox 360.

The bottom line is the titles are available and it is likely that somewhere along the line Sony will cash a big check.
