Gitex 2008:
Save, save for a rainy day

Some people we've known for years have said that no one at AMD is flying business class these days. This came after the conversation if this financial crisis is affecting IT companies such as AMD.

A VP of AMD has confirmed to Fudzilla that AMD spending is conservative, as no one at this company really knows how this crisis will affect businesses such as AMD.

The good thing is that AMD got a lot of cash and that the company feels good, but at the same time all spending is being conservatively planned, as no one wants to get this old company busted.

Everyone is extra careful and you can see this industry-wide, not only in the case of AMD. We will see how this crisis will affect Q4 2008 numbers. We expect some decline in sales, as people are getting too afraid to spend money.
