Chip demand rising as AMD snoozes
Nvidia forecast better-than-expected revenue for the current quarter demand for its chips has risen, while its rival, AMD has a knap while waiting for its Zen technology to arrive.
Scores 134,000 in AnTuTu benchmark, over 3x higher than Tegra K1
On Wednesday, a new Nvidia filing with the FCC surfaced online that shows a new 8-inch device closely resembling the current Shield and Shield K1 tablets based on Kepler GK20A GPUs. The tablet was filed as an application for “SHIELD Tablet” and is expected to feature Nvidia’s newer Maxwell-based GM20B GPU and is based on the Tegra X1 chip, complete with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
3-way SLI might work with old SLI bridges
It appears that Nvidia's new SLI HB (High Bandwidth) technology is actually limited to 2-way SLI on the new GTX 1080/GTX 1070, while other SLI modes could be supported with older SLI bridges.

It appears that Nvidia has struck a right chord with its Pascal-based GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards as it has allegedly forced AMD to pull the launch of its high-end Vega GPU forward, from early 2017 to October 2016.

During its pre-Dreamhack show where it announced both its new Pascal-based Geforce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards, Nvidia also showed a neat gameplay video of the upcoming Bethesda Doom game running on Vulkan API and Geforce GTX 1080.
