700MHz for the core

MSI is soon going to launch a new GTX 280 card named MSI GTX280 T2D1G Super OC. As the name suggests this card will come with 1024MB of GDDR3 memory, just as every other GTX 280 on the market.

Despite the fact that Nvidia recommends that partners should stop at 670MHz, MSI has decided that these GPUs can easily work at 700MHz, just as we have previously seen on the Zotac card. The MSI Super OC card will come with 1GB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 2,300MHz. It has 240 Stream processors with a shader clock set at 1,400MHz, as MSI likes to leave some overclocking for its customers.

We are sure that the shader clock can be pushed higher as we have seen it clocked close to 1,460MHz on some announced cards. So, MSI has joined Zotac with the highest factory overclocked GTX 280 card. The design is still reference based so you can expect it to look something like this.
