Comes with GDDR3 and DDR2 memory

Colleagues from Tomshardware.tw have manage to score some pictures of the upcoming Nvidia's mainstream and entry level GPU which will probably be called Geforce 9500GT. According to the info Geforce 9500GT should be launched on July 29th, while OEMs already got this card.

The new 9500GT will use a 3phase VRM design and will come with either 256/512MB of GDDR3 memory and with 512MB of DDR2 memory. The GDDR3 version will work at 550MHz for the core, 1,400MHz for the Shaders and 800MHz for memory. The DDR2 version will likely have the same clocks for the GPU and Shaders, but it will have a lower clocked DDR2 memory working at 500MHz. The card will feature the 128-bit memory interface and it will support the good old and plain 2-way SLI.

According to that same info from the Tomshardware.tw website, this newest addition will replace the existing 8500GT with performance boost of up to three times. We hope that they didn't mean "three times faster" in 3DMark's. The naming for these two cards isn't yet confirmed, but the Geforce 9500GT name for the GDDR3 version sounds like a logical move.

These two new cards will be a direct competition to the ATI's HD 3650 with both GDDR3 and DDR2 memory which are selling for below €50.
