Force3D, a new player in the ATI AIB business, has launched its HD4870 card. It's a reference design and there's really not much to report, as you probably already know the specs, but here they are, as loads of text and no specs makes our editor unhappy.

The GPU runs at 750MHz, with an effective memory speed of 3.6GB/s (900x4), it's got a 256-bit memory bus and 7.1 audio. Force3D's card doesn't seem to have much of a bundle and there's no word on the price or availability.

We can't even find any Force3D HD4850 cards on the market, but let's give the new guys some time and wish them some luck in this dog eat dog industry.
