After we had taken a closer look at the ATI Catalyst 8.6 .inf file, we stumbled upon support for the HD 4800-series.

As the date for the release of the HD 4800-series is slowly closing in, it was about time that we saw support for these new cards. As it has yet to be officially announced, it didn't make it into the release notes, but anyway, the new Catalyst drivers should work with the 4800-series.

Maybe this one will bring even higher 3DMark Vantage results. We are sure that tests will soon pop up. You can find the two lines from the .inf file for the HD 4800-series support below.
