Don't leave a hack with a screwdriver

What happens when you leave an IT hack unattended with the HD 4850 card and a screwdriver? You get a GPU die shot, of course. Our colleagues from bit-tech.net have managed to get a clear shot of ATI's RV770PRO GPU.

Besides the shot of the GPU die itself, bit-tech took some pictures of the Qimonda memory chips and a shot of the card's voltage regulation part. We just hope that this certain partner won't get in much trouble, but that's something that they have to worry about.

The naked GPU, eight Qimonda memory chips and a red PCB, what more could you ask. All we need to do is wait until the HD 4850 shows up on store shelves.

You can find the pictures here.
