When you win two in a row, you've really won

AMD's 780G integrated graphics chipset has so far had great success and the market accepted it very well. As AMD is doing a comeback with its bug-free revision B3 Phenom X3 and X4 CPUs, the demand for its chipsets and motherboards will also pick up.

AMD also has a few 45W Athlon Energy Efficient CPUs that people like to put in their living room PCs, and most end users don’t really need much graphics power in their living room. These guys appreciate funky connectors such as HDMI and systems that are silent like a lamb.

The new IGP chipset from AMD, the 790GX, will be a faster and better spec'd version of the AMD 780G chipset and it will support Hybrid Crossfire and generally run faster. The key point of this chipset is to hit both Intel and Nvidia in this highly profitable market, as many of the OEMs will easily pick AMD’s faster IGP, especially when the choice is Nforce IGP or AMD 790GX.

We believe that at least in this market AMD can claim victory.
