Nvidia DisplayPort products don't really work

At least the first generation of cards

As we don’t have a DisplayPort monitor to prove the claim, we have to rely on our industry sources that have informed us that Nvidia's first DisplayPort cards, mainly the 9600GT, actually don't work with DisplayPort monitors.

There are two Dell models that support DisplayPort, one 24-inch and one 30-inch, and our sources said that they have tried a few Nvidia cards and none of them worked with this next-generation connector.

There might be a few explanations why this occurred as you can blame the BIOS or the driver on the cards, but beware, as there is a high probability that your DisplayPort capable card actually won’t work with a DisplayPort monitor.

If you have a DisplayPort monitor and one of these cards, please let us know as we would like to confirm this important claim.
