Bob Brewer waves goodbye

AMD has silently announced that Bob Brewer will help Phil Hester, the company's CTO, with his luggage. Bob Brewer, who until Friday worked as the Corporate Vice President, Strategic Marketing at AMD and previously as a Director of CPU business, has decided to leave.

It is rather interesting that both Bob Brewer and Phil Hester have decided to leave at the same time. This happens just a week after AMD announced it will let go 10 percent of its workers, and if you think about it, these two top guys would be the ones that might be held responsible for the K10 delays and its fiasco.

Hector as the CEO might be the top to blame, as he is responsible for for the mistakes of 16,500 people, but it was an engineering job to make that 65nm CPU work. Soon, his job will get a bit easier as he will have 1,650 souls less.

Naturally, the way it happens in big companies, they have decided to chase new challenges, and we wish them both a lot of luck in their new endeavors.
