As soon as the replacement comes

Almost two weeks ago, Nvidia quietly announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Marvin D. Burkett, has informed the company that he wants to retire.

He will stay at the company and perform his current duties until Nvidia finds an appropriate replacement and we believe that this ex-AMD chap deserves to enjoy his hard earned money. Marvin spent 26 years at AMD and he was with Nvidia since August 2002.

We saw Marvin at CES 2008 talking to Jeff Fisher, a Senior Vice President of a GPU division that we know for a few years, but unfortunately we never talked to Marvin.

After Jensen's already famous attack on Intel, Nvidia closed yesterday at $18.52 which is a massive 6.79% or $1.35 drop, but if we may we believe that fourteen people presented at Jensen's fun event really don’t get the real picture. We believe that Nvidia stands much better than the investors and bankers think.

We wish Marvin D. Burkett a nice retirement and a lot of rest from this crazy, but fun, industry. He is probably going to play some poker with Jerry Sanders.
