10 percent overclock

MSI is the first partner that has announced an overclocked version of Nvidia's Geforce 9800GX2 card. Of course, MSI is also going to launch the reference clocked version of this card, but the factory overclocked one is way more interesting.

The OC edition will feature a 10 percent overclock for the core and Shaders, and 20 percent for the memory. This translates to 660MHz for the core, 1,650MHz for Shaders and 1,200MHz for 1GB of GDDR3 memory. The factory overclock isn't the only thing that MSI is going to do on this card.

MSI has included the feature called "MSI smart power input identifying technology," which makes sure that the 6 and 8-pin PCIE power connectors are plugged in well. When one or both of them are not properly plugged in, connectors on the card light up red. When both connectors are plugged in correctly both of them will light up in green.

MSI has also decided to do a game bundle, and a good one if you consider that game bundles are pretty rare. MSI bundles “Dirt” and “The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar” games.
