Working at 700MHz

Foxconn will launch two versions of the 9600GT.  We already wrote about the standard version and it will feature an 5MHz overclock for the GPU and 10MHz (20MHz effective) overclock for the memory. This card is branded as a "standard OC" 9600GT card. The more interesting OC branded 9600GT will feature a 100MHz bump in core clock and a decent bump in memory.

As we wrote earlier, the OC version will work at 700MHz for the core and it will feature 512MB of GDDR3 memory overclocked to 2,000MHz. Unfortunately, there is no info on the Shader clock, but we doubt that Foxconn went for more than the usual 1750MHz which we have seen on every other OC 9600GT edition.

Both cards will apparently be cooled by a reference design cooler, but it is nice to see that Foxconn didn't decide to go with just one 9600GT with just a symbolic overclock. The OC edition sounds much more serious.
