Software issue to blame

Users of the
popular Skype software, which allows users to make calls over the Internet, were unable to logon to make calls over this free service owned by eBay.

Skype will not say how many users were affected, but it is clear that it is impacting Skype users all over the world. Skype claims that their engineering team is aware of the issue and that they expect to have it resolved so calls can resume within the next 12 to 24 hours.

Until the problem is resolved, Skype users will remain disconnected.
