A senior company source confirms

FireGL V8650 2GB will start shipping in January, and one of AMD’s VPs believes that 2008 will be great for ATI’s workstation market.

AMD is winning most of the benchmarks and the community likes what it sees. January should be the month of volume production, and samples of the cards are available even today.

It seems that FireGL is getting back in the game.
