Stock of 8800 GT in the UK

Updated: Limited amount of cards

UK online e-tailers are starting to get some stock of 8800 GT cards again, but these aren't the really inexpensive ones, and the stock is very limited. It seems to be Gainward and BFG cards for now, but hopefully things will improve shortly.

OcUK is charging £187.99 for a Gainward card at stock speeds and you can order it here. You have one chance in three to get one if you hurry up.

Scan is stocking the same Gainward card here for £193.73, but doesn't list how many cards they have. They've also got a slightly overclocked model from BFG here which will set you back £187.87, but again no information on how many of these cards they have in stock.

Other companies are listing cards arriving at anytime from one to two days to as late as early next year. So, if you're planning to get one of these cards in time for the holidays, you might want to order one while there are still some in stock. Don't expect to get one at the promised low prices, as you won't get one on the cheap for now.

Forty minutes after we wrote the original article, OcUK sold out of the Gainward cards, so don't expect to be able to get one of these. It seems like the demand for these cards is insanely high at the moment, so if you want one before the end of December, order it when you see one that is available.
