Linux ready for Acer in EU after all

Linux laptops sold in Bulgaria

 

Hardware maker Acer's claim that the EU is not ready for its machines to be released with Linux onboard might not be true.

Suppliers in Bulgaria are flogging Acer laptops with a similar spec to the one being sold in Singapore with Knoppix Linux pre-installed.

The machine, an Aspire 5710Z, was seen by a Fudzilla reader in two of the big Sofia chainstores for EU 516.42.
