Geforce 8600 GTS and GT are the names

We learned
that Nvidia plans to launch its new king of mainstream in about month time after Cebit. There won't be any Ultra cards just GTS and GT versions. We don’t know the exacts speeds but we know that Nvidia plans to make the faster speeds that we talked about before. The GTS will end up at higher clock than 500 MHz.

The cards will be available upon the launch and there are no any details about the launch event. We can now confirm the Geforce 8600 GTS name for the faster card and 8600 GT for the bit slower version. Nvidia marketing machine simply wants to play with the names and sometimes brands these cards GTS sometimes GTX and sometimes Ultra, you can never be certain what is going on in Vivoli's head. This head is the head of Nvidia's marketing.

It comes out at least three weeks before its competition RV630 chip, the one that should be known Radeon X2600 line.
