Hopes for big sales

Dell has created its first "made in India" computer with the hope it might push sales in the growing Indian market.

The desktop computer has been made in Dell's new plant near the southern Indian city of Chennai.

The computers were delivered to outsourcing company Infosys Technologies.

However, iHT.com points out that even making the computers in India, Dell's hardware is still expensive.

This is because the company has to important components and pay import duty on them.
